Have you ever gone out for a romantic evening in New York, with the love of your life on your arm and had an absolutely “one of a kind” lifetime experience? The kind of romantic night where absolutely everything just fell into place so smoothly that your better half thought it was magic? The kind of fantasia type evening when nothing could go wrong, nothing would go wrong and not a stray hair was out of place.

The kind of night where you walk out of your condo with your love on your arm, the elevator door opens before you press the button, the concierge downstairs has the taxi door open, the taxi driver immediately knows exactly the right route to get past the traffic and repetitiously it seems like “nothing can go wrong”. Twice that night, you walk by waiting patrons, tip your head to the doorman and walk on in. The show that night is exquisite, your reservations are accepted immediately at the fine restaurant, the dinner is perfect, your brand new american express card is accepted – shall I go on?

And right down to that magical moment when you both come out of the restaurant look up and see a full moon giving everything a silver ethereal other worldly type magical glow, you are sure that Murphy, the spoiler, must be somewhere near just hating himself.

Co-incidence or can this really happen?
If you hire a reputable taxi firm to meet you at exactly 7pm in front of your condo or hotel and be there 3 minutes ahead of time, then it should happen. If you tipped the concierge or security guard to open the elevator on the 14th floor at exactly 6:57 and texted him/her 30 seconds in advance that should happen too.

If you pre-paid online and picked a show where you know security then pre-tipped that same security to let you walk past the other waiting patrons with the love of your life on your arm, it should happen. Are you beginning to see a pattern?

If your reservations were really made in advance then confirmed and you had let the security and maitre d know that you were really confirming at 9:45 then walking past the other patrons for the second time that night, it might happen yet again.

Ok, I can hear you all chuckling already and asking, “How about that silver moon, thingy?” I would answer, take your love out when you know there will be a full moon, duh!

That is all part of the event planning process and there has been at least one or two really great movies where the star of the movie, the concierge did exactly this and much more for his guests.

The tepid point, being made here in a round about way, is that coincidences rarely just happen. They take planning. And a planner would say the more amazing the coincidence is simply the better the planning. In our scenario above, this happens to us all at least once in a lifetime, if even quite by accident. But the guy or girl who makes things happen around them with that “dumb beginners luck” on a frequent basis may have have planned every detail in advance then double checked them.

Any indoor event of any considerable size in New York will need require significant accessible space with access to taxi’s, limousine services,subways and transportation for those that don’t drink and drive – that is you, right?
